If Down, Look Up GEO. N. TAYLOR Portland. Oregon For 38 years the man had been a helpless cripple. Then one day Christ came by and com- manded him—“Take up your bed and walk.” At that, the man came to his feet, rolled up his pad of a bed and walked.—Bible, John 5. And just so, in every temptation. trial or testing, Christ delights to uphold you ind me. That best oved Psalm, the 23rd, tells it.-“Yea, hough I walk hrouph the valley of the shadow of ieath, I will fear o evil for thou art with me. Thy rod ind thy staff, they •omfort me. .” 1 Here .s God’s infinite power and love toward each of us. First the lost must come to know that Christ died for their sins. Then let their heart take hold of this truth and believing they are saved. And being saved, many a Christian in time craves more. By Bible and prayer he has been growing. But he wants more. So he obeys the Bible and dies to self. It is no longer he that lives but Christ who lives in him and through him and becomes his all in all. See Galations 2:20. So which for you? To go on lost and to the judgment? Or is it eternal life and life more abun- dant? Which for you? This space paid for by a Port- land busines man.
