The insur ance may be applied for whether or not the veteran took out such insurance while in the service or has since let it lapse. World War I insurance (USGLI) is available under the term (tem porary) plan or any or combina tion of six permanent types. These are: Ordinary life, 20-payment life, 30-payment life, 20-year endow ment, 30-year endowment and en dowment at age 62. No veteran may hold at any one time more than $10,000 worth of govenment insurance, including the national service life insurance (NSLI) available to World War II veterans. To reinstate or apply for new U. S. government life insurance. World War I veterans must fur nish a complete report of physical examination. These may be ob tained without charge at any VA regional office or VA hospital, or by a licensed doctor at the veter an’s expense.
