Ralph Clark, extension horticulturist. All of the information is avail able free, Clark states. Although several thousand gar den publications are distributed each year, many gardners are either unaware of the source of information or simply neglect to take advantage of it. As a result, each year many gardners have failures or simply do not take full advantage of their garden pos sibilities because of mistakes or omissions in management. Clark says the number of avail able garden bulletins runs well beyond 50. A majority of the Ore gon publications are written by A. G. B. Bouquet, long-time pro fessor of vegetable crops at Ore gon State college. He has written on such comparatively elementary garden subjects as planting plans in which he details a home vege table garden for a family of five. In the publication, he lists vege table varieties, approximate plant ing dates and suitable placement. Another Bouquet cicular details a monthly schedule of suggested operations in growing vegetables for home use. For the gardner seeking infor mation about specific problems, information is available on such diverse subjects as artichokes, ADD to the life of your car. SUBTRACT from the cost of upkeep with regular inspection & service! Geo. Johnson bean rust, late cabbage, cucum bers, celery, garlic, strawberries, small greenhouse management and a host of other topics. Any of the publications, Clark emphasizes, can be had by merely calling on the local county ag ricultural agent or by simply mail ing a card to his office or the col lege.
