dent.
Under “Good of the Order,”
Juanita Edwards was presented
with her “past Noble-Grand’s” Pin.
Ione Justice was also presented
with a gift. Many of the mem­
bers thanked their birthday friends
for gifts and cards received.
Following the meeting, refresh­
ments of ice cream, ca|<e and
coffee were served. Old birthday
friends were revealed and new
ones drawn for the coming year.

The Vernonia Grange is making
plans to raise money at the socials
and meetings in January and Feb­
ruary to go to tahe March of
Dimes. Al! members are urged
to attend meetings and socials
and bring friends to the socials.
The January social will take
place the 24th and people attending
are asked to come with dimes in
their pockets.

Church Brotherhood
Entertains Ladies
The Brotherhood of the Evan­
gelical United Brethren church
was host to the ladies of the church
Tuesday evening. Music, refresh­
ments and games occupied the
evening. Occasion for the gather­
ing, which was arranged by the
men, was a “thank-you” for the
work done by the ladies in mak­
ing the father-son banquet a suc­
cess.
A shower was given in honor of
the twin baby daughters of Mr.
and Mrs. Bill Ritz, January 13 at
the home of Mrs. George Johnson.
The daughters, born November
10, were named Dianna Jennelle *
and Deanna Jeanette.
Attending the affair were: Pearl

Janice, the honored guests, Aretha
Ritz and twins, Lola Keith and
granddaughter, Barbara,

figures just compiled by the Ore­
gon state game commission. The
