Deborah Society Entertained Tues. LETS BE SOCIABLE Mt. Heart Rebekah Lodge Installs The regular installation of of ficers was held Thursday evening, January 8, by Mt. Heart Rebekah Lodge. Ione Justice was re-elected Drill Captain and Carl Davis, Trustee. Louise Hamnett was re-elected “Good of Order” chairman and Silvia Turner as press correspon dent. Under “Good of the Order,” Juanita Edwards was presented with her “past Noble-Grand’s” Pin. Ione Justice was also presented with a gift. Many of the mem bers thanked their birthday friends for gifts and cards received. Following the meeting, refresh ments of ice cream, ca|<e and coffee were served. Al! members are urged to attend meetings and socials and bring friends to the socials. The January social will take place the 24th and people attending are asked to come with dimes in their pockets. • Church Brotherhood Entertains Ladies The Brotherhood of the Evan gelical United Brethren church was host to the ladies of the church Tuesday evening. Music, refresh ments and games occupied the evening. Occasion for the gather ing, which was arranged by the men, was a “thank-you” for the work done by the ladies in mak ing the father-son banquet a suc cess. A shower was given in honor of the twin baby daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Ritz, January 13 at the home of Mrs. George Johnson. The daughters, born November 10, were named Dianna Jennelle * and Deanna Jeanette. Attending the affair were: Pearl Adams, Sylvia DeVaney and Janice, the honored guests, Aretha Ritz and twins, Lola Keith and granddaughter, Barbara, Nona Lankstrom, Lois Thayer, Roxana Brady, Shirley Sunell and Linda, Gladys Strong and Judy and Den nis, Bertha Rosa, Wilma Borton, Ncla Brady, Mary Sawyer, Isabel Culbertson, Tressie Michener, Fan nie Owens and the hostess, Erma Johnson and “Verna and Larrie. The number includes 12 deer, 1 elk, 1 bear, and 8 small game hunters. Careless handling of firearms resulting in accidental discharge was the cause of 10 of the ac cidents.
