Soda Crackers s««*»«*-« Official Newspaper of Vernonia, Oregon $3.25 WE MOST COMPLETE STOCK OF HARDWARE & B UILDING MATERIAL IN COLUMBIA COUNTY Jrockers, CooDes Fall is the time to apply phos phate fertilizer to Ladino clover, subterreanan clover, (alfalfa, red clover, and other established le- gum ‘s, according to the county agent’s office. During the past few years it has been shown that phosphate should be applied to a growing crop in the fall about October 15 rather than in the spring. Farmers with Ladino clover, sub clover pastures, alfalfa, and red clover should arrange immediately to get phosphate fertilizer if they plan to apply it this fall reports county agent Nibler. Dealers report that phosphate must be ordered immediately if growers expect to have it by October 15 or soon after. Grow ers who place their orders with dealers now and accept delivery from the railroad car can save from $2.50 to $3.00 a ton in many cases by eliminating handling charges and warehousing. Phosphate fertilizer is still in short supply and farmers expect ing to obtain materials will stand a much better chance by cooper ating with dealers and ordering immedately. 4x8x14 Plywood $3.65 4x8x5/8 Plywood $8.55 4x8x3/4 Plywood $8.95 IxSxh Simpson Board Similar to Fir-Tex Oakland Wood Heating Stove.
