The bride’s father, Frank Mor­ ris gave his daughter in marriage. Miriam Corll sang “Because,” ac­ companied by Barbara Keasey who played the processional and recessional. The bride wore the traditional white dress made of lace with full train. Her head dress was a tiara of seed pearls and orange blos­ soms which held in place her full length veil. She carried a white Bible with tea roses, baby’s breath and forget-me-nots. Miss Jean Hanneman of Bend was her only attendent and she wore a pink formal with a corsage of tea roses and sweet peas. Mr. Dewey Cline, brother of the groom acted as best man. At the informal reception fol­ lowing the ceremony the bride’s sisters, Etha and Elna Morris, served. Before the fireplace with bas­ kets of pastel gladioli and lighted tapers in candelabra at either side, the rites were read at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon, July 12, by the Rev. Fremont Faul of Lake City, Iowa, assisted by the Rev. J. L. Wherry. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle. Royal Doty, wore a gown of frosted marquisette with train, with three quarter length mitts to match. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a tiara of stephanotis. She carried a single orchid in a tulle fan with satin ties caught with stephanotis. Her maid of honor, Miss Marie Mauro of Portland was gowned in pastel yellow and carried glad­ ioli in a tulle fan with lavender shower. Merlin Whedbee of Port­ land attended Mr. Roberson as best man. Bob Wade was the usher. # The tapers were lighted by Miss Lois Brown and Mrs. Virginia Ten Eyck. Preceeding the ceremony Miss Nida Dawn Benson sang “Because” and closed the cere­ mony with “The Lprd’s Prayer.” She was accompanied by Mrs. Lenore Nunn who played the wed­ ding music. A reception followed the cere­ mony. The bride’s table was cen­ tered with the tiered wedding cake flanked by tapers. Mrs. P.M. Paul­ son cut the cake. Mrs. Susan Ram­ brant of Enid, Oklahoma, poured. Presiding as junior hostesses were Miss Lois Brown, Mrs. Virginia Ten Ecyk, Miss Nida Dawn Ben­ son, and Mrs. Lenore Nunn. After a short wedding trip to British Columbia, Mr. and Mrs. Roberson are to be at home in Vernonia where Mr. Roberson is employed. • Nehalem Club Plans Picnic July 27 Members of the Nehalem club of the O.E.S. will enjoy a picnic the afternoon of July 27 at the home of Mrs. John Titus on Mist route.
