Summer, Winter Pastures Needed REFRIGERATION RADIO SERVICE Of the 7000 GI loans approved in Oregon up to mid-March, only 51 have been reported in default, Thomas M. Craig, veterans ad ministration representative here, stated. Most of those in default were business loans. Craig explained that defaults may be reported by a lending agency after a veteran-borrower fails to make his payments. In only four cases in Oregon has the VA been required to pay out money on a guaranteed loan. Of the 51 cases of default, nine have been cleared up by the vet eran himself and most of the others are under negotiations. Nine cases are now in process of liqui dation. While defaults are few in num ber to date, especially in the home loan field, no great significance should be attached to this show ing, because most contracts have been running only a short time. The VA cautions veterans against hasty use of their guaran ty privilege in the current high- priced real estate market, he said, adding a reminder that GT loan benefits will be available for ten years after the official end of the war. Craig meets with ex-servicemen and women, their dependents and beneficiaries each Wednesday morning in the city hall at Ver nonia. • Some 3,500,000 pages of German scientific and technical documents are being screened by the Depart ment of Commerce for medical and industrial secrets to benefit Amer ican health and business. anew and becomes your eternal father.
