More than half of Oregon’s veterans have allowed their G.I. insurance to lapse since they re sumed civilian life, a survey made by veterans administration offices here and in other cities of the state indicates. During a month’s period, VA representatives questioned nearly 6000 ex-servicemen who came in to inquire about insurance in an effort to find out what they are doing about reinstatement and conversion. Many veterans are keeping their term insurance as long as pos sible because it provides more protection for each dollar paid in premiums, Craig remarked.
