TOPICS OF THE TOWN
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Austin are
living at Troutdale now where
he has employment with the
weather bureau.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Roberts and
daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Willard Lattimer of Burley,
Idaho are visiting Mr. Roberts
mother Mrs. Ollie Roberts, and his
brothers,, Loel and Dale Roberts.
The visitors left the early part
of this week, after spending about
10 days here.
Mitchell DeHart, USN, returned
home Monday afternoon from
duty in the south Pacific after
serving approximately a year
on a mine sweeper. He is now
on terminal leave awaiting his
discharge from the navy.
Wally East and Ray Noris
spent part of last week with the
formers parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.
East on the O-A hill. They re­
turned to San Francisco Friday.
Here Saturday night to attend
the dance at Natal were Mr. and
Mrs. Elmo Smith who are re­
siding in St. Helens now. He has
employment at the H. W. H.
Adams grocery store.
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Culbertson
became the parents of a seven­
pound daughter, Lynne, recently
at the Sacred Heart hospital in
Eugene. Mrs. Harry Culbertson
will spend three weeks with the
new mother and daughter, who
are now at home.
