Guy Hurd and George Arm­ strong attended the football games in Portland Saturday. Alfred Sanders, U.S.N., was in Portland Monday to see hi3 father and learn what he could about the maritime strike. Max Millis went to Corvallis Oct. 4th and on the following Monday enrolled as a student at O.S.C. When a fine new Nash stopped at her gate Saturday, Mrs. Anna Parker went out to investigate. At the wheel she found her neph­ ew, Clifton Solomon, of Drain. He was accompanied by his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Solomon of Bay City. The foursome remained for the week end and treated Anna to a joy ride Sunday. Sunday night and Monday vis­ itors at the T. F. Hillyer home were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Combs and children of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. William Jacobs and daughters and Ronnie Nuson of Clatskanie were Sunday dinner guests at the Riley Hall home. Mrs. George Williamson and sons of Hillsboro were at the Louis Huntley home Friday and the boys stayed until Sunday when Mr. Williamson came over for them. George Peachey left Sunday for his home in Malaga, Washing­ ton, after spending several days here during his father’s critical illness. Mr. Peachey is improv­ ing slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lind­ say were busy entertainers Sun­ day. Their dinner guests were Mr. and Mrs. W. L.
