THURSDAY, AUGUST 1, 1946 7
The third application of spray
for coddling moth should be made
right away, states Geo. A. Nelson,
county agent, as word has just
been received from B. G. Thomp
son," associate entomologist, of the
flight of the coddling math and
that the eggs are being laid and
will probably hatch under Wil
lamette valley conditions about
August 1.
Lead arsenate at the rate of
three pounds per 100 gallons of
water is recommended by Mr.
Thompson. Where coddling moth
is not too serious, two pounds of
arsenate of lead can be used.
Calcium arsenkte at the rate of
three pounds per 100 gallons of
water can also be used.
