Veteran* Get Most Of Farm Machinery 8 THURSDAY, JULY 25, 1946 THE EAGLE, VERNONIA, ORE. Vic Vet says SPORT TOPICS CAMAS WINS GAME SUNDAY Camas was the winner and Ver nonia “took it on the chin” again Sunday when the Columbia riyer boys came here to play what will probably be Vemonias last home game. Two games called because of rain earlier in the season were scheduled here but it is thought that they will not be made up. However, it 'is possible that the playing of these games will be required. Sunday’s encounter was disast rous for the locals who seemed to have a decidedly off day. Ov- Championship Play Started Match play began Sunday at the Vernonia Country Club to de termine the champion golfer of the group. A schedule of matches has been drawn up for play for the next several weeks, but results are not yet available. Details of scores will start coming in by the coming Sunday, according to Gal Davis, tourna ment committeeman who will keep records of scores as they are turned in. / I i - --------- ■ : < ■ The Vernonia Country Club Public Invited for Golf See us for Golf Supplies.
