This birthday was the first he
had spent at home in five years.

spent the past week end at South
Bend, Wash., visiting relatives
and friends.
Russell is home
after 32 months overseas, 24 be­
ing spent in Enguand, one in
France and seven in Germany
with the 8th and 9th air forces.
He plans to attend school at
a later time.
Visiting here last week end on
a 72-hour pass was Cotton Bass.
He is stationed now at Seattle.

was held at Rainier and the prin­
cipal business was the discussion
of HB80 which will be on the

Injuries Result
From Collision
MIST—Lloyd Garlcck and Mr.
Pierce were involved in a bad
collision last week on the road
to Jewell, by the Hopkins place.
Lloyd was driving his tie truck
and Mr. Pierce a car. When a
spader came down in front cf
Lloyd’s eye, and in brushing it
away he swerved over on to Mr.
Pierce’s side, sending the Pierce
car over the bank.
It was
wrecked beyond repair.
Mr.
Pierce received a cracked neck
and general shaking up.
An-
other man with him was also cut.
Lloyd was also cut and his
truck was damaged.
