Let's Be Sociable Final Section of Book Reviewed Mrs. Sam Hearing, Jr. was hostess to the Vernonia Study club Thursday evening, Dec. 6. Mrs. Ralph Valpiani presided at the business session in the ab sence of Mrs. Harry Culbertson. For the evening’s program Mrs. William Heath read the final section of Shakespeare’s Julius Ceasar beginning with Act IV, Scene I, which is occupied with the quarrel and reconciliation of Brutus and Cassius and the ep isode of Caesar’s ghost. Cassius is the moving spirit in his deal ing with Brutus but when it comes to a difference of opinion Cassius always gives way. The chief instances being the bring ing of Cicero into the conspir acy, as to kiling Antony as well as Caesar, as to allowing Antony free speech, and, as to the course to be taken in the war. The out come shows that Brutus was _ hopelessly ______ mistaken ______ ________ and the “tide” which he persuades Cas sius to take leads to disaster. The influence of Caesar is strongly apparent in the failing fortunes of his murderers. The final reading was followed by a general discussion of the whole play by the members. After the program the hostess served delicious refreshment». The next meeting will be a Christmas party at the home of Mrs. A. J. Hughes, on December 20th, with Mrs. Rons Workman in charge of the program. & Fred W. Glaser, radarman 2cr is listed as receiving his discharge at the personel separation cen ter at Bremerton, Wash.
