cafeteria lunch was served in the
basement.
Receipts of the evening were
over $80 and this money will
be used to maintain the projects
of the club.
Outsiders from Vernonia, Na
tal, and Clatskanie were present.
Several Mistites as well as guests
expressed the opinion that they
would like more entertainment
of this sort.
Miss Mary Katherine Norris,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claud
Norris, was married Saturday at
Vancouver to Hollis Hartwick,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Eerd Hart
wick of Banks. The ceremony was
read at 4 o’clock. He is on a
30-day leave from the navy air
corps and they are spending this
week at the beaches before he
reports to Seattle at the end
of his leave. Mrs. Hartwick plans
to continue her work as sec
retary at the Washington grade
school until he receives his dis
charge.
The women of the Mist Help
ing Circle sponsored one of the
most successful evenings of en
tertainment in its history Sat
urday night, December 8.
First was a community sing
consisting of four favorite songs
led by Bernice Garlock. This
was followed by a humorous and
well-acted play entitled “Weiners
