May the cherry blossoms bloom
More spiritual every year;
As the passing days bring
Memories of a President near
May the ships thats half mast
Hoist their banners to the sky;
In honor of President Roosevelt
And where great men lie
Twelve years of service
Tired, worn with care;
He never failed his country
Nor the boys over there
This is the time of year fo»’ old-time fav
orites—like pumpkin pie, succotash, etc. If you
are planning on company, why not rig up a
real fall-feed from our abundant supplies of
top-quality foods. When better groceries are
produced—Nehalem will handle them!
President Roosevelt stood at the
helm
Till the very last;
When his ship went down
The flags at half mast.
