VERNONIA EAGLE Thursday, August 30, 1945 Plywood Released From Priority “You can now buy plywood when it is available, without priority—just like you used to do before the war started.” That is the word received here this week by one dealer from his plywood wholesaler in Portland. The removing of priorities from plywood came very sudden ly and sooner than anyone ex pected. Dealers have been with out or almost without a stock of plywood for a long time so that the demand is great and will take every bit of the product that can be obtained. The wh lesaler’s announcement indicated that ply wood would be received contin ually from mills once started. However, the one item that has always been in most demand, quarter inch, will likely be more senree than before due to manu facturing costs and log supply.
