Wood-Starzl Nuptials

Parsonage August 6
RIVERVIEW — A pretty wed­
ding took place at the Presby­
terian parsonage in Vancouver
Monday morning, August 6th, in
which Miss Levina Starzl, daugh­
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Wencl Starzl,
became the bride of Paul Wood,
son of Mr. and Mrs Herman
Wood of Riverview. The cere­
mony was preformed by the pas­
tor, Rev. Paul L. Zungman.
The bride in a tailored1 suit of
brown with white accessories and
carrying a bouquet of rosebuds
was attended by her sister-in-
law, Mrs. Francis Starzl, who
wore a black tailored suit.
Francis Starzl, brother of the
bride, acted as best man.
After a sumptuous wedding
dinner in Vancouver, Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Wood brought the
bride and groom to their home
here where a reception for the
immediate relatives was held in
the evening.
The newly-weds will spend a

two-week’s honeymoon in Rose­
burg after which they plan to
locate in Vernonia.

MIST — We were sorry to
hear of the accident last week
which caused the death of J.
W. Baldridge at Woodson. Many
years ago “Bud,” as he was
called, lived here near the vil­
lage with his wife, who passed
on several years ago. We are
well acquainted with the family.
A car accident caused his death.
The funeral was Sun. at Clats­
kanie.
C. O. Hayden has gone to
Glenona, Wn. to work for Don
Hall. He will move his family
later.
