Chadwick of Louisville, Louisiana arrived here a few days ago to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Blount. Mr. Chadwick returned to their home, leaving Tuesday, but she will remain for a two- month’s visit. Here from Corvallis Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Russell are here for about 10 days from Cor­ vallis where they reside now. Mr. Russell is employed there by United Loggers. Here Sunday (Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Meyer and family Sunday were Mr. Meyer’s father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Meyer, and Beverly and Monty from Ridgefield, Wash., Mr. Otto Geo. Meyer from For­ est Grove, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Meyer from Cornelius, Mr. Mey­ er’s grandmother, Mrs. Dolla Hathaway, and Mr. and Mrs. Groat, and Melba, Donald and Lowell from Ridgefield. Mrs. Groat is Mr. Meyer’s aunt. Low­ ell stayed on to visit a week with Jennie and Dickey, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Meyer, Mr. and Mrs. Clif- ford Bergerson and Miss Helen Stevens. Marvin Meyer has just been released from the navy. Otto Meyer will return July 3 to cut and put up hay at the ranch near Vernonia. Listed on Honor Roll Patricia Moran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Moran, is among University of Oregon students listed on the honor roll for the spring term, it was an­ nounced Recently from the office •cf the registrar. Miss Moran, who was graduated from Vernonia high shccol, ha3 just completed her sophomore year at the uni­ versity. Relatives Arrive Mrs. Millard 0. Weir Jr. and small son, Victor Owen, arrived recently at the home of her sis­ ter, Mrs. Geo. Conner, for an extended visit. They came from Arkansas, after a four-month’s residence there, but are originally from Bellingham, Washington. Go to Portland Mr. and Mrs. John Rosa left for Portland expecting to re­ main over the 4th with the Lie- polds. The Stubbs plan to make their home at Waldport after August 1. Counts and John Hall of Myrtle Creek and Hala Lindquist of Burley, Idaho. Wilbur Fast, son of Mrs. Clara Liepold, is at the Boy Scouts gathering at Tillamook. This Sun­ day being parent’s visiting day Mrs. Liepold plans to make them a visit. Ben Brickel was unable to work the first part of the week due to infection of a finger. Vacation, at Seaside Douglas DeCew, USN, arrived here last Thursday from San Francisco on leave and from here he and Mrs. DeCew left for Missoula, Montana to be with his family for part of the time he is off duty.
