Mr. and Mrs. Harry Culbertson
spent last Sunday at Gresham
where they visited Mrs. Culbert­
son’s sister. Mrs. Harold Tall­
man, and family. Mrs. Culbert­
son’s father, L. L. Crawford
who recently had an operation,
is staying at the Tallman home
while recuperating.
Family Reunion Held
A family reunion was held
last Sunday at the Oscar Weed
home when Mildred E. Weed, Sp.
(G) 3c, was here from Treasure
Island, California. Present for
the reunion in addition to Miss
Weed were Mr. and Mrs. Elza
Weed of St. Helens, Mr. and
Mrs. Oren Weed of Medford,
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Weed and
son of Seattle and Mr. Lepisto,
also of Seattle. Mildred will leave
a week from today for Medford
for a short visit and then con­
tinue to Treasure Island to be
there by July 1st.
Here from Coo, Bay
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer,
former residents, were here Sat­
urday evening and Sunday from
Coos Bay.

are now living on a 32-acre farm
near St. Helens, having purchased
the place some time ago and
movirfk there about a month ago.
Hay and berries comprise the
principal crops. Mrs. Reynolds

a needy neighbor got underway

decided that the Davis family
whose bread earner has been
unable to work for three months
could use some additional funds.
By scouting around Sat. and

er of Portland who bought his
property of Bert Barnes and has
been in the merchantile and drug
business most of his life but
due to ill health is now retired

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daily of
Gold Hill, Ore. arrived Mon. at
the home of Mrs. Daily’s sister,
Mrs. Fred Shaver, where they
will stop for a time while their
16-year-old daughter, Jessie, a
victim of infantile paralysis, will
take treatments and undergo ou-
erations on her limbs through­
out the summer at a Portland
hospital. Jessie has been suffer­
ing two years from this dreaded
disease.
