G. Blan­ tons in Portland Sunday, dining at the Elk’s club and attending the Ice Follies. The occasion was in celebration Of Father’s day and Mrs. Poynter’s birthday which fall on the 17 th. Mrs. Blanton is the former Gwendolyn Poynter. On Eugene Paper Staff Winifred Romtvedt, U. of 0. journalism major, will be on the Eugene Register-Guard staff this summer after ocmpleting a suc­ cessful year of journalism activi­ ties on the campus. Winifred served as news editor on the Em­ erald, University daily, this past year, and will be associate edi­ tor next year.
