Charles Burrow and children spent the past week end here at the home of Mrs. Burrow’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Judd Greenman. The visitors re turned home to Portland Sunday. Health Meet Attended Attending the meeting of the Columbia County Public Health association at St. Helens Monday were Miss Velma Ramsey, Lin coln grade school principal, Wal- lace McCrae, Paul Gordon and R. L. Spencer. Several local people have re ceived treatment within the past few days for minor injuries. J. Anglesey is receiving treatment for bruised ribs which he re ceived over a week ago, R. L. Thompson has a finger injured by a closing door, and Ed Fra zee was off work a short time with an ankle sprain received last Friday. Oliver Graves is ill and in bed from breathing methyl chloride gas while work ing on the cooling system at his locker plant last Wednes- Illness Prevents Anniversary Event RIVERVIEW—Mr. and Mrs. Albert Holland of Ellensburg, Wn. came Fri. for a long week end visit with their daughter, Mrs. Rex Normand, and family. The Women’s Missionary So ciety of the Christian church of Vernonia met at the Elmer Knoedler home Fri. night. The theme for study and discussion was the Malay peninsula, its people, their mode of life and their chances for Christianization There was a fair attendance and all enjoyed the delicious lunch served by their hostess.
