Christmas Party
Occasionally during the year
the members of the Vernonia
Study club forget for a time
anything of a serious nature and
just have fun. One of these oc
casions is the annual Christmas
party.
This year the party was held
on December 21st at the home
of Mrs. Sam Hearing, Jr., on B
street. There a beautifully dec
orated tree with gifts piled high
at its base was the center of
attraction. Games and contests
provided entertainment and small
prizes were won by several mem
bers. A highlight of the evening
was the carrolling by the high
school glee club under the direc
tion of Mrs. Robert Martin.
Later carols were sung by the
club members and gifts were dis
tributed.
Refreshments
were
served by the hostess assisted by
Mrs. Marvin Kamholz, Mrs. Paul
Gordon and Mrs. Harry Culbert
son.
The next meeting will be on
January 4th at the home of Mrs.
Judd Greenman. This will be the
annual birthday meeting and sup
per will be served at seven.
