SON TO SIN SAYS PREACHER “Ralph is one day old.” As the young preacher began his sermon that Sunday morn ing, October 29th it was, he told his people of the birth of Ralph’, their first bern, the day before. He said that while the little fellow was but a day old, he knew he would break out in- to sin and that he must be born egain. I have a nature that turns to sin and so ha3 his mother and so it will be with the babe. Then the man’s voice took on deep concern. Would that I might know that my son would be born again. You must be born again, was his text. He told of one of their members who had been born twice and had a double birthday. Her second birth was from above, of God. And on the same day and month and day as her hu man birth. We add that being born twice, she is to die but once, She will not see the see- ond d eath—wh osoever was not found written in the Lamb’s dorsed. A-13 expires Dec. 21. Each coupon worth 4 gallons. BIRTH CERTIFICATE — You can get a birth certificate and prove your birth into this world. Ask your friends and they caa say whether you have been born of God, from above. To the Twice-born, old things have passed away. All things have be. come new, After the sermon came an al tar call with three high school students and a boy from among the grades coming to the front. Now the preacher - United Pres byterian — asked among other questions—Did they believe the Bible to be the word of God? And did they accept the shed blood of Christ as washing away their tins? BORN AGAIN—How explain the mystery of the new birth? How become children of God and his heirs? It is when God breathes his life into your soul. Then it is that old things pass away and all things become new. Your part is to torn to God and count your sins blotted out by the blood of Christ—Christ died for our sins, From that on you are to step ahead and live to the glory of God. Suffer for Christ’s name you must and in it all you count on Him for the power to carry on. I will never leave .thee nor forsake thee, says He.
