Mrs. Virginia McMullen spent
last week at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cummings,
in Hillsboro.
Bad news for our little com­
munity, Mrs. E. L. Lloyd is clos­
ing her Maternity Home this.

Mrs. Orile Robbips was operat­
ed on at the St. Vincent’s
pital in Portland Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. George Snell of
Tigard and his two sisters, Wil1-
ene and Georgia, who have just
arrived from Iowa to make their
home in Portland, visited at the
E. L. Lloyd home Sun. and
drove on to Bradwood to pick
up two of Jewell Lloyd’s daught­
ers who will spend a few weeks
with them.
On July 5th, Mr. and Mrs. Ma-
goff and Mr. and Mrs. Johnson
Sozoff and children, Jimmie and
Joanne, accompanied by Mr. and
Mrs. Runzer of Portland, went
to the beaches on a clam digging
expedition. They had such good
luck that they made the trip
again on the 7th a)id were still
better rewarded for their ven-
ture.
