cousin, Mathew Theewen of Hills
boro, left Tuesday evening for
David City Nebraska to visit
their parents and relatives for
several weeks.
Mr. Harry Junkins from Fargo,
North Dakota, spent the week
end visiting with his brother and
his wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Jun­
kins. Mr. Junkins left the first
of the week for California.

Billy Howard, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Howard of Pittsburgh
is confined to the Doernbecker
hospital in Portland. It is believed
he has a very rare blood disease.
He is a first grade pupil at the
Lincoln school. His many friends
wish him a speedy recovery.

Mrs, LeRoy Hall of Portland
formerly of Vernonia, has been in
the Portland General Hospital the
past few days. When Mrs. Hall
was taken to the hospital, it was
believed she was suffering from
Pneumonia. She is much improved
now and it is expected that she
wilt be able to return to her home
on or before April first.

Ray weighed four pounds and

Monday from Pueblo, Colorado
where she has visited for sev-

Navy still sends such mail by
plane, but because of demands
on cargo space may discontinue
this practice, the Office of War
Information reports. V-Mail is
regularly flown to its destination
by both the Army and the Navy.
