Frank Morrsi, Keasey route, was recently appointed a Naval Avia tion Cadet and was transferred to the Naval Air Station at Pensacola, Florida, after passing the elimina tion training course at the Naval Reserve Aviation Base at Oakland, California. Billie Chalmers and two other boys recently found a mud turtle on the highway. On its back was carved May 10, 1935, Banks, Ore. They placed the turtle in the lake cn the Matthew King farm. Mrs. Lawrence Hall and daugh ter, Mabie, were in Portland Satur day. They visited Goldie Hall. She is in the Coffey Memorial hospital in Portland. Lorraine Cobat was taken to the Portland General hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cobat and Mr. and Mrs. George Cobat were Port land visitors Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Cobat are the parents of a 7 H-pound boy, born Monday, May 11th, at the Portland General hospital. Mrs. Vernon Parrett and children and Mrs. Clara Cooper were Sun day visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Rex Bellmore. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Sehorn of Clats kanie visited Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Cbndit Sunday. Eleanor and Jean Frame and Robert Sullivan of Portland visited their grandmother, Mrs. Sargent, recently. Mrs. Mary King of Hillsboro was here to see her mother, Mrs. Sar gent, last week. Lynch and Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMullen were Portland visitors Sunday. Tom Crawford, who is in the Portland General hospital, is re covering satisfactorily. Shut-in services were held at the John Baker home Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bond have left to visit relatives in Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. Bill Heath and family were at Cannon Beach Sunday. Bobbie King, who recently joined the armed forces, is attending Cur tis Wright Institute, Air Service Command at Glendale, California He is taking ground school work and specializing in sheet metal work. Mrs. Jane Millen was operated on for appendicitus a week ago Friday. She was much improved when Mrs. H. E. Stevenson visited her last week. Mr. and Mrs. Templeton visited at the L. O.
