Much Aluminum Collected at Timber TIMBER—A large collection of aluminum was received at the gym Saturday night at the aluminum drive. Wesley Gildner who has just ___ _ a course in meteoralogy completed at a school in Chicago, Illinois, is spending a few days with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gildner. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Braden of Carlton were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. David Cdstl'e. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Gill returned Sunday from Detroit, Michigan, with a new automobile. They were gone two weeks. Water Carnival Viewed Mr. and Mirs. Elmo Tallman spent Sunday at the Water Carn ival at Netarts. On returning home they visited in W heeler at the George Ritthaler home. Mrs. Fred Ganuschke, Mrs. Art hur Elliott, Mrs. David Castle and son, Phillip, attended the funeral services of Mrs. Fred Burgess at Lincoln Memorial Park last Sat urday. Mrs. Burgess will' be better remembered here as Goldie Elliott. Week-End Guest Portl'and were Saturday evening callers at the Kilburg and Tallman homes. They were enroute to Sea- side, where they spent Sunaay. Mrs. Howard will be remembered here as Anita Shiffer. Mrs. Mary Hart spent from last Friday until Tuesday in Portland at the home of her sister, Mrs. Emmett Murphy, and family. Georgia Blankenbickler of Port land was a visitor of her parents Sunday. Sunday Visitor* Noted Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cutright of Gales Creek and Mr. and Mrs. Amos Cutright of Gaston were Sunday visitors at the David Castle home. Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Sanderson returned Monday from a three weeks visit in Oklahoma. George McCuistion accompanied a group of girls to Balm Grove to the dance Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Klein and Shirley were visitors Sunday at Tigard. George Pack of Portland was a dinner guest Sunday at the E. C. Kubler home. Arthur Benefiel, who is station ed with a group of ten other boy3, at Old Wolfe Creek camp for the purpose "t fire protection, was a caller at the William Huffman home Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Green left Tuesday for Tillamook where Mr. Green is employed with the B and B “gang”. Miss Pauline Kubler of Portland was a Saturday night and Sunday guest of her brother and sister-in- law, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Kubler. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Elliott and son, Richard, of Toledo, spent the week-end with Mr. Elliott’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Elliott. Mrs. Ida Cutright is spending an indefinite time with her daughter, Mrs. Fairy Castle.
