Home Go to Silverton----- Reverend and Mrs. W. O. Living stone will officiate at a v. edding to be held in the First Christian Church in Silverton this Friday eve ning. Burn*— The Palandri home in Wilark burned to the ground last Friday night. The owners had gone to Scappoose to bring back with them some week-end guests when the ac cident of unknown origin happened. Baird, president of the San Francisco Theological seminary, conducted the services which were held at the Mayfair theatre. Return* from Portland— Mrs. F. R. Olin, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. S. L. Dille, return ed Monday night from Portland. Mrs. Dille fell and broke her leg some time ago and Mrs. Olin has been staying with her in her Port land home. Christian Church Evangelical Church— —Harvey R. Seheuerman, Minister This Good Friday, April 11, dur ing each hour of the day from 10:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. there will be a service of prayer in the Inner Room of the church. From 4 to 5 the service will be specially for men. All are welcome just sa you are. A Sunrise Service conducted by the young people will be held in the church beginning promptly at 6:00 a. m. Sunday the two families fished on the (Columbia near St. Helens. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Browning and son, Otto, and Frank Brown ing of Longview spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Short of Silver Creek, Washington. The occasion was to celebrate Mrs. Short’s birth day which occurred Monday. The Howell's reside on the Tom Hen derson place. Those present were: Mae and Georgia Mellinger, Eda Parker, Mary Chirsteson, Cora Carl son, Dorothy Bodell and Florence and Grandma Kirkbride. Mrs. Ruth Hatter, wife of Joe Hatter of Banks and aunt of Mrs. Harry Howell and June Mulkins, passed away at the Hillsboro hos- pita! March 24, after a lingering illness.
