Games were played and later re freshments which were brought by the group were served. Those pres ent were: Marietta Hodgson, Frances Carrick, Patsy Thacker, Jean Mc Donald, Delores Bergstrom, Mary Ann Johns, Jimmy J< hits, Walter Ooady, Lester Coady, Jack Frisbie and Jimmie Moeller. Mr. and Mrs. William Falconer, Mrs. Wilbur Thacker and Mrs. Huían Thacker motored to Hillsboro to see their father, Sam Stowell, who is '?. ..re Jones Hospital. He was injured when a load of hay slid off the wagon. Mrs. Elizabeth Mullins has mov ed to Vernonia to keep house for her two sons, Lawrence and Ervin Mullins. Mary Ann Johns and Leland Moeller are sick with the measles. Mrs. Garland Seger and Patsy, Mr. and Mrs. Alois Sauer and children with other relatives of the rmily attended the North Dakota picnic held at Jantzen Beach Sun day. Mr. and Mrs. George Ortman and' Lucila were Friday evening visitors at the Carl Anderson home. Mr-. Lois llikklia of Portland is spending a few weeks with her mother, Mrs. Harry Hodgson. Mr. and Mrs. Chick Johnson moved to Vernonia over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lund and Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Adams spent the week-end at the beach. Frances Carrick left Sunday for the girls’ summer camp at Silver Creek Falls. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Barrett and Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Schram were in Portland on business Saturday. Mrs. George Baker, Alice and Patricia Baker were Tuesday after noon callers at the Seger home. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Carrick and family went to Sweet Home Sun day to visit their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chandler. Opal Car rick will stay with her great-grand parents for a few weeks. Mrs. Nell Thacker, Mrs. Mildred Hult, Mrs. Maxine Smejkal and Willamae came up from Idanah Saturday bringing Mrs. Harry Wil son home after a weeks visit there. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Chance have moved into the house just vacated by the Webb family. Marrietta Hodgson returned home last week from Portland where she has been visiting her sister since school was out. Opal Sauer of Wauna, spent the past week with her grandmother, Mrs. Harry Hodgson. STONEY POINT—(Special to The Eagle)—Mrs. Perry Browning, who has been con'ined to her bed the past two weeks with a sprained back, is able to be up and about the house. Mrs. Etta Driscoll and children and Calvin Davis accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Verl Roberts and children to Clatskanie last Saturday whore* they spent the day fishing. Sunday, Mr. Roberts, Calvin Davis and George Turner went back again and spent the day fishing, having pretty good luck. Mr. and Mrs. Bert DePue and daughter, Margaret, Mrs. Louis Wilkerson and son, Donald, and Mrs. Ray McGee of Mist were Portland visitors last Tuesday. Byron Kirkbride took Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Hollett to Portland Tuesday to meet the Hollett’s daughter who came from Oklahoma for a vis" with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Roberts and family olf Estacada spent Wednes day with their son, Verl, and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Bert DePue and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ray McGee and daughter, Bonnie, of Mist spent Sunday at Seaside. Mr. and Mrs. Don DePue left Tuesday morning for their home in Junction City, California. Mr. and Mrs. Art Davis and children and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Davis spent Sunday at Sunset beach digging clams. Mr. and Mrs. Max Oblack and little daughter came down from Molalla Monday to spend a few days with Mrs, Oblack’s parents, returning to their home Thursday. George Holding was in Portland Tuesday and Wednesday on busi ness. Mrs. Wikstrcm from Mist Calleo on her daughter, Mrs. Joe Roeser, one day this week. Mrs. Buf mire called on her mother is Vernonia one day last week. Mr. Neurer went to Portland Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Doud and sons from Timber spent Friday evening with h| parents. Mr. and Mrs. Robert McMullen j pent the week-end at his parent’s home. He was helping his father with the hay.
