and farms, old age pensions, work for the unemploy­

and farmer. The records also show that I led the
fight against special privilege legislation for corpora­
tions and big business. I have letters signed by the
president and secretary of farm and labor organiza­
tions, taxpayers’ leagues, pension organizations,
school teachers' organizations, all voicing approval
of my work in the legislature. After a careful check
of the legislative records I find that my work in the
legislature lias saved the property taxpayers in Ore­
gon more than $18,200,000 up to January 1, 1940.
