The Department of Agriculture at Salem, Oregon, will record your brand or $1.00 and the recording is good for a period of ten years beginning with the year 1940. A plea of “not guilty” was entered and the date of February 8 set for the hearing. On February 5th Fred A. Tiede- man was sentenced $25 and costs for fishing without a license. The payment of $5 and costs led to suspension of the execution of the balance indefinitely. On the same day a plea of “guilty” was entered by Cort and John Seidelman on a complaint filed February 2nd by Henry Glahn charging larceny. Cort Seidelman was fined $25 and 90 days, the jail sentence ’being parol­ ed. John Seidelman was fined $25 but execution of the sentence was uspended indefinitely. They were charged with the stealing of a plow, dehorning shears and part of a sack of flour.
