FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 1940 Mrs. Olin Entertains with Luncheon— Mrs. F. R. Olin entertained at luncheon at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon the following ladies: Mrs. Walter Thompson, Mrs. Lee Caulfield, Mrs. E. E. Preston, Mrs. J. W. Nichols, Mrs. Ernest East, Mrs. Lyman .Hawken and Mrs. Charles Marston. The luncheon was one of the series sponsored by the Deborah Circle. Little Dance Club Engages Whetmore— For the first of a series of three dances, the Little Dance Club has engaged Jimmie Whetmore and his orchestra. This daneg will be held Saturday, February 17, at the I. O. O. F. hall. VERNONIA EAGLE, VERNONIA, OREGON Kentucky mountains ar.d all roads and paths are to be covered with pennies.
