TIMBER—(Special to The Eagle) —Miss Hazel Shiffer of Kansas City visited in Timber Sunday. A logging accident injured one | man, Bill Paulson, of Vernonia and killed Albert Kacoroski of Portland, at the Standard Logging Co. camp, 12 miles south of Cochran, when a tree, uprooted by a donkey en gine, flew back striking the two men. The injured man received a fractured leg and Mr. Kacoroski a fractured skull. A large group of friends attend ed the funeral at the Forest Grove Undertaking Chapel for Wyville Gilmore, who passed away Friday, December 1, at the General hospital in Forest Grove. Surviving relatives are the widow, Mrs. Laura Gilmore and two sons, Claude and Arthur of Seattle. Mr. Gilmore has owned the Gilmore hotel the past six years. Mrs. Ida Page returned to her home in Portland Friday after having spent the week at the Kil- burg home. The piano was moved from the Timber Community church the first of the week to the church at West Timber. Last Sunday was the opening Sunday there. Walter Meyera of Portland mov ed into the Harvey Ridling house one day last week. Mr. Meyers has been transferred here to work with the oiling crew on the state highway. Mr. and Mrs. A. T.
