Pinochle was enjoyed during the evening in which Mrs. M. B. Willard and Frank Lange won high prizes respectively, and Mrs. Frank Lange and Carl Davis received the consolation prizes. Mr. Turner re­ ceived many useful and attractive gifts. A delicious lunch consisting of fruit, jello, cake and coffee was served at midnight. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Carl Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Justice, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lange, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Michener, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Turner motored to Port­ land Monday morning taking Sam Scott in, where they met the lat­ ter’s sister, who arrived from Wau­ kegan, Michigan, to make her home with her brother for the present. Miss June Woods returned home from Watsonville, California, where she spent most of the summer with her grandparents. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Woods and Wm. Woods motored to Portland after her. Mrs. Lex Taylor returned from Aberdeen, Washington, Monday where she had gone to attend the funeral of a relative.
