Several names were added to the enrollment but we feel sure there are a great many more people in the vicinity who would profit by attending Bible school and urge anyone who is not attending elsewhere to come to our school next Sunday at 9:45. Mrs. Dawson Darrett and three children of Oakland, Cal., are spending two weeks at the home of Mrs. Darrett’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Benson. The Loyal Bereans and the Interstate C. E.’s of the Christ ian church have jointly redec orated their room in an attract ive manner. Fred W. Herman of Rainier, candidate for representative in the legislature, was in town Sat urday. Rev. and Mrs. H. R. Scheuer- man and children Opal and Mil ton spent the week end at Salem where the Rev. Mr. Scheuerman officiated Sunday at the wedding of a close friend of the family. Mrs. Lydia Berkey occupied the pulpit of the local Evangelical church durisg the pastor’s ab- sesce. Mrs. J. H. Burnside and her mother, Mrs. E. A. Matthews went to Tacoma last Friday to attend the wedding of their res pective niece and granddaugh ter. They remained for several days. The condition of E. R. Es tey, who is gravely ill in St. Vincents hospital following a serious operation, is reported to OCTOBER 16, 1936.
