Burnside is at home again this week. Larry and Jack Marshall ex perienced great difficulty getting home from their fishing trip on the Nehalem a week ago due to the storm. Many trees were across the road. Mrs. John Ross served lunch Wednesday to members of the ewing club. Her guests were Mrs. Geo. Cobat, Mrs. E. Snyder, Mrs. Ted Aspinall, Mrs. Verda Cook, Miss Hazel Chapman, Mrs. Harold Ridenour, Mrs. Leroy Calhoun, and Mrs. Roy Cobat. Maxine Hartwick, small daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hart wick, who became seriously ill with pneumonia last Friday, is much improved. Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Thompson took their son Elvere, Jr., to Portland Thursday of last week for a medical examination. Jackie Gibson is one among many small children about town who are suffering from severe colds. Mrs. J. W. Beal, sister of Mrs. C. L. Brock, is here from White Salmon, Wash., to visit for the week while Mr. Beal is in a hos pital.
