Football Manager
UNIVERSITY OF OREGON—
(Special.)—Floyd Deeds, gradu
ate from Vernonia high school,
has been chosen as a freshman
football manager for the spring
football team, coached by Doc
Spears. Floyd is a student in
mathematics and physical
ence.
Howard Lee, formerly of
nonia, played an important
in a successful religious play,
entitled “Cleopas,” held in the
Methodist church of Eugene. His
part was that of an anxious fa
ther, who was much concerned
over the career of his son who
was associated with Jesus. The
play has attracted citywide at
tention for its dramatic presen
tation despite the fact that the
two main characters had little
experience.
Neal Bush, student in pre
law, was chosen as a member of
the “Skull and Daggers” sopho
more fraternity. He and fifteen
other prominent freshmen were
initiated into the organization
during an intermission at the
Frosh Glee dance.
