Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Ohler and family spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George McDon ald, of Beaver Creek. Mrs. C. C. Bergerson and child ren motored to Beaverton to visit her mother, Mrs. Fluke, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Robin- son and Thane Ohler of Kelso, Washington visited with J. B. Ohler over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Smejkal motored to Hillsboro on a bus- iness trip Saturday. H. C. Ohler now has eleven acres in fence and is having some plowing done. A. F. Ornduff is busy getting his logging operations in shape to commence logging about Mar. 1. Mrs. M. J. John entertained the W. R. C. ladies last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McDonald called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Ohler Sunday after noon and spent the evening. Vale and Scott resumed their logging operations Monday, Feb ruary 16. The children of the Kist school all received 100 in spelling this week. A birthday surprise was given Miss Julia Jablonski at her home Saturday, February 14. A very pleasant evening was spent danc ing and playing cards. A gener ous midnight supper was enjoyed by everyone. John Grady, captain of the Legion team, was the outstand ing star for that aggregation, not only playing a bang-up game in the field, but also doing his stuff at bat in a noble fashion.
