WARNING!
DAIRY OUTLOOK BETTER
I
—
Prices of dair products have i
the reduction in milk production '
through the drouth area, making
the short-time market outlook |
better in this industry, reports I
L. R. Breithaupt, extension eco- [
nomist at Oregon State college. I
From a long-time standpoint,
however, dairymen are still car
rying too many old and poor'
cows in their herds, according to
government reports, Breithaupt i
finds.
The average price for.
milk cows has now declined to
such an extent that increased
culling may be approaching.
The Oregonian says that Julius Meyer is
slipping in Columbia county. I find, af
ter a thorough investigation in all parts of
the county, that Julius is slipping—into
the governor’s office.
Julius will get 50% of the vote in Colum
bia county, the other 50% being divided
equally between Metschan and Bailey.—
