Nehalem Valley Cream ery Building New Bot tle Washing Room Construction was started Wed nesday on a new addition to the Nehalem Valley Ice & Creamery company building, the new room to be cut off from the main building, and will be used for sterilizing and washing milk bottles and cans. A cement floor is being layed, the construction working is be ing handled by John Miller. Natal Grange To Build Water Line Oregon extending from Thurs- day 21 to 24 was well represent ed by delegates from high schools all over Oregon. The exhibits were a big at traction and probably the most interesting of these was the drug store display at the pharmacy building where the most complete model drug store in the state was opened for inspection. Ev ery conceivable sort of time sav ing device and efficient Ba chinery for the manufacture of drugs were shown. Probably the next most worth while feature came from the Economic and Sociology departments at the commerce buildnig where stu dents were busily employed at typewriters, stock exchange ma chines and at small show slides for the benefit of the delegates. Each slidc gavel educational facts regarding methods and the types of American merchant ships operating at high seas. At the forestry building the idea of the “horn of plenty” was carried out. With trees in the background a large horn per haps 18 feet in length emptied its products made from wood out upon an inclosed piece of floor. Some of the articles in cluded with these products were toothpicks, silk hose, and medi- cinal compounds. The farm department exhibit attracted many delegates by its sand relief map of Oregon show ing the large production areas and illustrating them with real samples. The Horticulture department put on a display of canned fruits taken from the orient and all parts of this country. Alternating from the exhibits each delegate followed a regular program. One of the features of the program was a drama pro- duction Wurzel-Flummery” pre- sented at the Little Theatre in the administration building by students of the community drama class. Those representing the Verno nia high school were Charlotte Green, Cathryn Hoffman, Merle Mills and Violet Phelps.
