light came into Barney’s dull eyes, a
healthy color to his cheeks, even tt

“Feeling better. Barney?”
In n daze of astonishment Barney

solicitously over him.
"Why, Jerry!” he gasped. “Wliat
brought you here? Hus there been a
fire?”
"Yes, don’t you remember? The tire
