Richard Barthelmess is starred with Dorothy Mackaill. “Ranson’s Folly” recounts the sur prising adventures that overtake a loung cavalry officers attached to a Western frontier outpost during the Bleppy days of ehe early 80's. Bored to death and craving excitement, he holds up a stage coach wieh a pair of blunt scissors and soon finds him self embroiled in more complications than he counted on. One of the most dramatic and unique episodes in “Ranson’s Folly” depicts an actual military court-martial. This is the first time that a court-martial in full detail has ever been presented on ehe screen. A staff of army experts was in charge of this sequence, and were successful in making it a per fect fac-simile of an actual military trial. his master.
