named defendant: In the name of the
State of Oregon, you are hereby re­
quired to appear and answer tho
complaint filed against you in the
above entitled suit on or before the
expiration of six weeks from the
date of the first publication of this
summons, which said first publica­
tion is made and dated April 23rd,I
1926, that being the time prescribed
by the Court in an order for publi­
cation of this summons; and if you
fail so to appear and answer the
complaint, the plaintiff will apply to
the Court for the relief demanded
in the complaint, to wit, for a de­
cree of absolute divorce dissolving
the bonds of matrimony existing be­
tween plaintiff and defendant, and
for such other relief as to the Court
may seem proper.

NEW CITY LOTS—The Hammond
Lumber company is having a 40-
acre tract of their cut over land
surveyed and cut up into city lots
and acre tracts south of the Rain­
ier city limits.
SERVICE EXTENDED—Electric
light poles are being set up in Co­
lumbia City and lights will be in­
stalled within a few days.
As the
line was not heavy enough to carry
sufficient load to furnish the town,
the service was not extended beyond
the mill until its recent closing to
which power had been previously
furnished .
ANSWERS SUMMON S—Fred
Adams, respected citizen of Deer Is­
land died at his home there from an
incurable disease. Mr. Adams was 63
years old and was born in England.
He lived in Columbia county for
the past 30 years, making his home
in the Deer Island section continous.
He is survived by his widow and a
daughter who lives in Portland. In
terment was in the Scappoose cem­
etery.
