Items of Interest are the horse
»hue contest which will decide the
Washington county championship,
und is open to al) reidents of the
county. Among the athletic events
und sports there will be a shoe race.
Each entrant is requested to remove
his shoe» and they will be placed in
a pile. Contestants will start from
the starting line,secure their shoes,
starting line, secure their <>wn shoes,
put them on and return to the start­
ing line. The first one back with his
shoes properly on will be declared
the winner, an order for a new pair
of »hoes as the prize.
Another feature of the afternoon
will be a costume contest, including
everything from the »ublime to the
rediculuus. Entrants must register at
the grounds not later than 1:30 p.
in., and remain on the grounds
mingling with the crowd until 5:00
p. m., when prizes will be awarded.
First prize, >15; second prize, >10;
third prize $5.
The old time dance will be held
the evening of July 3. General ad­
mission is $1.00, plus tax. Walker’s
famous orchestra will furnish the
music. Old and new dances will be
featured, including waltzes, fox
trots, two-steps, quadrilles, etc.

The free act will be an acrobatic
aerial act and promises to be excit­
ing nnd thrilling.
The ball game is an Inter-state
