FROM the hen. Watch how carefully she
protects her chicks. None go astray if she
can prevent it.
SO it should be with you and your money.
The temptations to let your dollars go as
tray for things that gain you nothing—are
too plentiful. And your dollars are too hard
earned to let them slip through your fingers
without results.
THOSE spare dollars are your “chicks.” If
they’re to be of any use in the future—it
would be best tat you protect them by start
ing a Savings Account with this Bank.

DAY OF ALL DAYS
“Here say” is a dangerous weapon. With it, it’s pos
ible to enshroud in veil of suspicion a most innocent
character.
The courts will not accept it as evidence, and certain
ly friends should not.
Gossip mongers delight in it, and they pass it on,
each time enlargeing upon it a little, until after a few
passes it has lost all the semblance of fact and be-¡
comes a whispered accusation.
Friends are estranged, and often made bitter enemies
by it. It condemns without a hearing.
And so, let us urge that “hear say” or rumors be nip
ped in the bud: that when they come to us, we demand
the source; and above all. in justice to the accused, let
us be big enough to go direct to him for an explanation
More often than not that explanation will remove the
shroud of suspicion.
In short, let us resolve not to repeat a "hear say.”.
Let us first dig up the facts.

We read of mobs of gunmen intimidating voters at

risk appearing where they might be shot. Then we re
