The state is keeping an eye on Vernonia, as is evident by the volmfteer subscriptions coming in for the Eagle. It promises to be a big spring; and an industrial city is assured. A few of the figns of activity to be in progress immediately include: New Municipal Water System to be completed in 150 days; New Hydro-Elec tric Power Plant to be rushed to completion; New 250,000 capacity mill to be built as fast as possible; New school building; 300 new houses—and mills and camps opening up in all directions. Not to mention the city street or walk improvements, or new business enterprises that are now being planned. Vernonia has no competition.
