I It is to be a week of extraordinary in- terest awl value. Next Sunday will be Foreign Mission Day with a miion ary story in the Sunday School, illus trated by a large map of the world. ! The morning eermon at 11 will be on the subject "The Call From Over the Sea.", and in the evening at 7:30 the subject will b- "Christian Men and a World Program." In this service tho male quartet consisting of Messrs Eb erhart, Claussen, Jones and Gaylord will sing "Speed Away." Mr. Roy C. Jones will lead the Young People's meeting at 6 :30 with the topic "In crease and Efficiency." The program for the week will be outlined at these services. Installation of the pastor-elect, Rev. J. E. Youel, will take place on Thurs day evening, Nov. 1, at 7 :30. A com mittee of the Presbytery of Portland, consisting of Drs. .1. V. Milligan, W. G. Moore, and C. W. Hays, will be here for that purpose. All local past ors and their congregations are cordial ly invited to attend this installation service. Members of other church de nominations will be interested in see ing the Presbyterian way in this pur ticular, which is comparative to n mar riage ceremony. Nancy Narcissus Cable was born in Kentucky on t..e 17th of December, 1841. When little mure than an infant her parents removed with her to Miss ouri, where they remained until ahc was nine years of age, when they went to Kansas to live. There she spent her girlhood days, and in 1373 on the 7th day of February she was united in marriage with William Smith. To thia union was born seven children two of whom died in Infancy. In 1877 she with her huf bimd and one child crossed the plains locating finally in Spokane County, Washington.
