It is one of the good nicns of the limes. There is more or less feeltnt; of con sternation throughout the countv amonjr the laboring men becaase of the fact that foreign laborers have been imported to do the county when many of our own people needed work. We understand when the county court the contracts it requested that work have that let home labor be given the preference over out side laborers. However, this has not been done to any great extent and in consequence many of our workmen with families are without labor, and a way to provide for their families. Under ordinary conditions this state of affairs might be tolerated without complaint. But conditions on the coast are now such that our laboring men have no place to turn to for work and if we do not make an etfort in their behalf at this time the countv may have to make some expenditures for fw and clrithinc nixt winttir. ,..i. u . :a onnnu.wi with the same problem.
